On December 28, 2023, leaders from Zanzibar's tourism sector, led by Dr. Abdulla Mohamed Juma, the Director of the Tourism Department, visited the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) headquarters in Arusha. They aimed to learn about methods and strategies for improving the tourism industry and gain experience bolstering security and safety for tourists visiting Zanzibar's attractions.

TANAPA has continued to provide strong protection for guests and their property for tourists visiting national parks, leading to it becoming an important place for many institutions to go to learn and gain experience.
