MKOMAZI NATIONAL PARK
Mkomazi’s semi-arid ecosystem features open savannah, acacia- commiphora bushland, seasonal river systems, and rocky outcrops. These habitats support a spectrum of dryland fauna and flora.
Landscape connectivity with the Pare and Usambara foothills, plus seasonal water availability, shapes animal movements and breeding cycles. Waterholes and riverine belts are vital lifelines during the dry season.
