VISITOR GUIDE
Everything you need to know before your Serengeti adventure
Getting There
Serengeti is accessible by road or air. Arusha is the most common entry point, with regular flights to Seronera airstrip. Road safaris offer stunning landscapes but may take 7–8 hours.
Accommodation
From luxurious lodges to budget-friendly campsites, Serengeti offers diverse lodging. Booking in advance is recommended, especially during peak migration seasons.
Entry Fees
Entry fees vary based on age, residency, and type of vehicle. International adult visitors typically pay around $70/day. Additional charges may apply for vehicles and camping.
Regulations
Visitors must respect park rules: stay in designated areas, avoid feeding wildlife, and adhere to speed limits. Guides must be certified, and drones are prohibited without special permission.
Visitor Safety
Always travel with a guide or tour operator. Carry plenty of water, follow ranger instructions, and avoid wandering alone. Wear neutral-colored clothing and use insect repellent.
